Hi ppl. Is it possible to connect an saix and IS local account at the same time and use RS to route certain ips to IS and others to SIAX?

hi dualmeister, thanks for the reply. Im running route sentry atm to split my local and int bandwith. I switch the local connection between IS and SAIX local accounts. Is it possible to connect both local acounts at the same time and route certain traffic to one and certain traffic to another?

For example, I want to use IS local account to download from IS news server with 1 program and use another program to use SIAX local to download.

Is this possible? How do I edit the RS routing table? then I can probly add SAIX news IP and IS news IP ?

i think he means. Saix local and is local at the same time.

From what i know, the short answer is no.

Local IPs to one account, international IPs to another.

I guess you could tweak this using localroutes.dat file to allow only certain IPs over the one connection then the rest over another

that might be possible.

Correct me if im wrong. But cant I add the saix news server ip to the international side and the dial the saix local as the international account?

thanks for the reply's.. so I can just remove the saix news server ip from the local routes file and it should pas it to the 'International side'.. will test a bit later.. thanks

thanks for the help so far.

I had a look at the localroutes.dat file, the closest ip that i could find was 196.43.0.0,255.255.192.0

looks like before the comma is the start ip and after comma is the ending ip of the range?

im not sure how to edit the entry to exclude 196.43.2.61

should I edit above line to 196.43.0.0,196.43.2.60

and add another line below it that says 196.43.2.62,255.255.192.0

somebody please confirm...
