Many thanks for all the advice. It is a brand new 12 kg bottle. I vented it for about 10sec and hey presto the heater now works. Great forum.

I had to change the gas bottle in my 3 panel heater from a 9kg to a 12. The supplier assured me it will fit which it does but when I try to switch it on, only the pilot light comes on. No gas is flowing to the panels. Can somebody please assist me.
