You get back WAY more than that. Anything from enough that's it's basically free, to a max of ±500 (in this specific situation). And that 500 back is for if you earn more than 220k per annum as a household. People must do the calculations themselves, anything else is just a guess.

Meh, the above is just hiding all the corporate ass kissing they are doing.

You can't compare Volvo's, in SA they are cheap second hand, here they hold their value so much you'd swear you're buying new

I've been wanting a new keyboard for a while and now I see a decent special on for a Corsair K95 (silver switches) and SteelSeries Apex 7 (red switches, linear). Both are essentially the same price. I also considered a Razer but I'm lost in their portfolio and they seem 50% more expensive for a...

GPU upgrade advice 7800XT vs 4070

Playing DSP now, 20% CPU, 100% GPU and 100% VRAM :p But yes I know these game are typically CPU bound if one doesn't have a ridiculous CPU GPU mismatch like mine. Think I'm mostly having the difficulty forking out the cash, I must just close my eyes and make the payment :p And if it holds 10...

GPU upgrade advice 7800XT vs 4070

Hmm, not a bad idea since CES is next week. Even then the card will take some time to hit shelves, and pricing I find remains stable in EU (vs US where drops happen fast) so it's unlikely to sway me.

GPU upgrade advice 7800XT vs 4070

I'm struggling to decide between a 7800XT or 4070... Price difference is ±10% in favour of the 7800XT in my region (NL). Current GPU is ye ol faithful GTX970 kicking on 10 years old so this would be a huge upgrade :D What I mostly play is city/building simulations and RTS when a good one rolls...

In other news my mouse is acting up, so will have to go down that road as well soon. This Logitech G502 didn't lastly nearly as long as its predecessor (MX518). The latter is actually still in use on my wife's machine, probably almost 20 years old (more considering it lived through Diablo and...

Kinda, I moved the monitor is as far back as it'll go but I like being up against the edge of my desk. So I played with that variable to it's practical limit for my setup. And it kinda sucked because size wise it started feeling the same as the older one which then defeats the point of the whole...

So I'll be sending the 32" WQHD monitor back, just not sharp enough. Perhaps I have better than average visual acuity or something but I can see the rough edges on text just about everywhere. Fiddled with sharpness, calibrations, the whole 9 yards but to no avail. Even had my old 27" sitting...

    The PC Build Thread

Settled on a 32" WQHD, will get improved colour depth and refresh rate, hopefully everything else is the same or better. I don't do that much WFH anymore (usually once per week), and even when I do it's not programming or such so the crispness of 4k is not needed for me, I'd rather be able to...

To compare what a 32" would look like at normal distance (since I have a 27 now).
