Yeah, it was a "training" issue with staff in how to quote on jobs. In the end I got hold of a free-lance technician who did the job for me in a few minutes costing me only R800.- all included. (call out fee, labour and sundries)

I have accidentally pulled the patch cable out of its sleeve (plug) from my hEXs ethernet router. My ISP is now quoting me R5500+ to have it repaired. The quote includes 5 hours of testing, a new scoop fibre distribution box, a new patch cable and sundries. Does this sound correct!?
