Garmin had me down for a 1:25:00 long run before I did my anaerobic session yesterday. Thankfully that changed to only 42 minutes. Wanted to get the 10K badge so extended the run. I really should stop pushing the speed once I finally get to the downhill bits. It always pushes me into tempo...

Check your "Coupons and Offers" section. Should find the code there.

I thought Garmin was bluffing by showing two anaerobic sessions for this week. Garmin was NOT bluffing. While doing the intervals I started to run out of road compared to the previous one. Then I realised the bastard had even increased the duration to 1:00!

It seems it was a promotional code published in some regional newspaper or something.

Nice anaerobic session today. Although Garmin seems to want to kill me with another one planned for Friday.

Agreed. I also think it's to keep up with the free shipping threshold too. I see it's now R750!

That's a relief. I was feeling terrible in comparison. A surprisingly good base run for me today. Not sure what I did to get so much zone 2 in. Guess I managed to just barely hang in the top end for the run.

I'd kill for that average HR at that pace.

Took it easy for the first half of my long run today and then decided to put in a slight bit of speed for the last half. Even got a new PB for 1 mile.

Yeah, pretty much. The biggest thing is not to try to do the paces you were able to do before. You'll get frustrated and your HR will be way too high. Just do zone 2 (easy perceived effort) runs for a week or so. If you need to walk for a bit, that's fine. Your heart doesn't know if you are...

It always happens. I was doing great until I had my fall and then got sick multiple times. Slowly building back up. It sucks, but thankfully you aren't starting at the very beginning where a 5K felt impossible. It's just getting back to consistency and letting your body adapt to its old self again.
