    Hi thechamp... thanks for your comment, I am wondering if the air outside is so hot that it just cant handle it and that is why it kind of switches off and then has to restart... just seems strange.

    I have a Defy 12 000BTU Portable aircon, when i take it camping with us, and the weather is very hot, like 36 degrees celcius, the machine starts to shake and shudder and then the cold air turns to hot, it then takes several minutes before the cold air comes out again. Could this be happening...
