I have to admit I did not check the price of the Samsung recently; I worked from memory. It was 10K on Takealot in February. At the higher price I agree, the POCO does edge out the Samsung.
I game a bit, I don't take loads of photos, and as long as the quality is better than utter crap, I am generally fine. The thing I really want is for a device to last as long as possible before it becomes frustrating to use. Currently my Samsung A24 got to that point.
I think I value performance over the camera, the battery life on the on the Redmi is super tempting still. However, after MattyW's recommendation I looked at the POCOs and the F8 pro ticks a lot of the boxes. The Question then becomes: is the performance gain worth the R2k to 3k price bump.
I need an opinion from someone with some more experience. Both these devices are more or less in the same price range. The Redmi looks like it has slightly better hardware, but on the other hand Samsung is the big name, which might make support or repairs easier down the line.
