    The area i am going to has Rain 4G as I have a normal rain 4G sim card in a modem and it works fine. They use the Vodacom tower as far as i know. I am going to try it.

    Not all devices support connecting to 5GHz WiFi band. If your device does not then you cannot get the benefit of 5G.

    1 - I think that is exactly the problem. The Huawei is not 'seeing' the WiFi hotspot with the 5G in the name. The one I connect to is HUAWEI-5GCPE-DD33 while the Samsungs connect to HUAWEI-5GCPE-5G-DD33. Do you know how to fix that? 2 - I will have a look if it has a software WPS. Did not...

    1. A Samsung Note 9 and a S7 Edge both are getting in excess of 250mbps. A Huawei Y9 Prime running Android 10 gets 50mbps. They seem to be seeing different WiFi hotspots, if that makes sense! 2. The latest rain indoor/outdoor CPE model, the same as the picture on the website.
