Hiya!!! Just to say thanks for the good advice. I got the inverter in December. It is super easy to set up, works perfectly and has saved me thousands in pay I would have lost. Also enabled me to keep my job which I would have lost by now due to all the loadshedding. Much appreciated :-)
Hi again! Thanks for the help getting the right inverter. I bought the one you recommended. I just have two questions: Do I keep it plugged in AND online all the time? Also it has two charging selections at the back: 10 A and 20A. Which one do I use?
Can I just go for the standard battery? (There are options for standard, deep cycle and AGM) I will not need this every day during loadshedding periods. Only four days but Sat & Sun the most.
Lol it's just the road I'm in doesn't get loadshedding... apparently because we're on the same grid or something as the harbour and they don't "switch" harbour "off". Not 100% sure why. But now I'm moving and even though I'll be in the same group, I will now have loadshedding.
Ah ok! Thanks. Glad I asked on here as I thought I could get a UPS. Yeah I need it to keep running as I teach online for hours and moving to an area where there's load shedding. I would not attempt modifying it lol. I just need to plug-and-play :)
Hi all! I need to get a UPS urgently as I work online from home and loadshedding is of-course a problem. I need it to power my laptop, light(s) in one room only, and my wi-fi router for as long as possible. I have looked on Takealot etc etc and read forums but reviews and opinions are so varied...
