    I want to help a friend unlock their locked iPhone 3G, running firmware 2.2.1 and currently locked to UK carrier O2. Is it doable? Should I upgrade to latest firmware or not? Then can I use Blackrain? I would appreciate some pointers. BTW: I'm busy backing up the phone.
