Is capitec CC still the best option for international swiping?

Anecdotal experience. Bank Zero in Eastern Europe had an effective loss of 3-4% on most swipes, and was never better than 2.5%. Capitec was 0.7-2% over and above the fee (this was while the old fees were still in effect).

    Dubai airport lounges

Just carefully check the rules to avoid disappointment. I seem to recall they allow you to have + 1 guest with you. You might have to pay for the other 2.

Do you support Affirmative Action and BEE in South Africa?

While this is true, it's widely accepted to be a massive failure used by the reigning political party to retain votes. It is racial-based and not deprivation based. It led to a significant brain drain which damaged the economy and resulted in a significant loss of skill during a time where the...

Don't tempt me - I'll keep it! ;) You're right, I was looking to do the same a while back...with only a little bit of extra moola one can make a very decent machine a lot better, but I sadly don't use it enough to justify keeping it.

China grounds all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes after fatal crash

Maybe I'm missing something... How does public perception still not play the biggest role in the grounding of the Max? Moreover, my statement can hardly be considered false if China acted without any real of evidence to indicate that which we know to be true now (full story behind MCAS...

China grounds all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes after fatal crash

Definitely, but also yes and no. Public perception may well play the biggest role in the grounding of more 737 MAXes rather than safety (with airlines outside of China and Russia)

Kulula and BA’s Boeing 737 Max 8 planes – “We remain vigilant”

Not true. Airbus, for example, experiences computer glitches on 40% of all flights. The reason why those glitches don't usually bring down aircraft is because pilots exist. Remove the pilot and 95% of accidents will be due to software based errors, 4% hardware, and 1% misc. At the end of the...

China grounds all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes after fatal crash

This move is hardly motivated by safety imo. China is bringing out fancy new airliners and need both clients and increased public support. Making Boeing seem dangerous can go a long way in adding orders to the book.
