In my case I use the number for WhatsApp and almost never make traditional phone calls. Somewhere along the line I disabled the sim in settings. Since I have wifi at work and home I didn't notice until it was too late... I also have several accounts linked to the number that use multi-factor...- JasonP90

Well this sucks. Maybe I can wait till its allocated and ask the new owner to sell it to me. I want to make sure this doesn't happen again. So what are the exact requirements? My Vodacom number was deleted because I didnt use it for a few months (I wont make that mistake again).
