The game store I went to today still had it advertised for R9999. However online and on there system it's listed for R6999.
The guy I dealt with at hificorp said the cost price is R8500, he couldn't understand how they could be selling it for R6999.
I purchased it today but am only taking delivery end of march as I'm moving to a new place. I landed up purchasing it from hifi corp who matched games price.
So I had a look at the Skyworth today, unfortunately they were playing sabc 1 on all the TV's so the comparisons were pointless. I did however play a random "4k" youtube video on it and it looked pretty good. I then played the same video on a hisense 55u7a, the hisense definitely looked better...
So after lots of reading / watching reviews, the general consensus seems to be that unless you spending big money, hdr tvs are going to be disappointing and are h it and miss depending on what you are watching, which kind of puts me off hdr in my price range.
Game has the 55" skyworth android...
There's this option on the 65" side. Looks like a good deal at 10k, I don't know how I feel about JVC though.

The reviews of the android skyworth tv are very appealing, but I worry I'll be missing out on the HDR. Although I haven't really experienced hdr so I'm not sure...
I see a few options on takealot for hisense 4k hdr 55" tvs under 10k. I have heard good reviews on hisense. The Samsung option mentioned above is quite enticing although I want to stay under 10k.
At the moment I'm deciding between the skyworth 55" at 10K or one of the hisense 55" with hdr...
