Views on VOX LTE usage measurement

I've been trialling VOX on my bonded network for the past two months. Speeds are great but I have some reservations about the ethics of VOX usage measurement. Their measurement of my usage is almost 20% higher than I measure it at. I do not have this problem with either RAIN or AFRIHOST-MTN...

Im so tired of complaining about rain

I was one of the very first Rain subscribers in 2017. Performance started to decline about 12 months ago but mostly on the upload side. Recently my connection is barely available and I get continual outages during the day. I won't be with Rain much longer and they won't get me back ever after this.

    Loot supplied product problems

Almost two months later and I have now finally received a refund. Needless to say I will not be purchasing from Loot again. I have never before been treated as the potential problem when a supplier delivers a faulty product. This is a first!

    Loot supplied product problems

I've now stopped talking to their call centre. Next step is the CEO (or his designated underling). We shall see if they want to persist with this line of reasoning which implies I am perhaps dishonest. Whatever happens they have lost a customer for good.

    Loot supplied product problems

I ordered a scanner just before Xmas, from loot.co.za, which was delivered just after Xmas and which failed to work. I then asked Loot to uplift the product and to refund me as I was not prepared to wait for another product which could also be faulty. They uplifted within 24 hours and about 10...

    55GB Rain/Afrihost deal

Finally a reply from Rain "Note that all Rain-Fixed LTE will receive double their monthly allocation effective 1 December 2018, this is regardless of ISP as this promo will apply to everyone. This bandwidth will be divided between peak and off-peak. Carryover rules will only apply for Peak...

    55GB Rain/Afrihost deal

When dealing with customer service in SA you clearly need a box of tissues. This is RAINs response to my query about their OOH offering from 1/12/2018 "Thanks for contacting rain. Please refer to your ISP with regards to OOH data as it is offered by the ISPs and not by rain" So there we have...

    55GB Rain/Afrihost deal

As far as I understand the new OOH allowance from 1 Dec, you can upgrade to 55GB that way from 1 Dec. I'm guessing though you want anytime data?

RAIN and what happens on 1/12/2018 with existing customers on the double up promo

I use as much data between 9am and 6pm as at night so this suits me just fine.

RAIN and what happens on 1/12/2018 with existing customers on the double up promo

I've asked for clarification on this but got no feedback. I would assume you get metered in the hour you use and your usage is docked against the respective allocation (OOH or anytime), not anytime first and then when that runs out only OOH, which would mean the OOH is a bit of a gimmick. But...

RAIN and what happens on 1/12/2018 with existing customers on the double up promo

Today I got the following from Afrihost in reply to my question; "I trust you are well. We do apologise that you did not get any formal update on this matter, but as from the 1 December 2018 subscribers will receive off-peak data equalling their anytime allocation from 23:00 to 18:00 each day...
