I say that doesn’t matter.
I have rainone 5g with them and it says I’m not eligible.
I get a generic reply from @rain_mobile anytime I ask what’s happening
I'm beginning to think my email is just blacklisted somehow.
signed up january 2024 for waiting list and haven't received nothing. only got generic replies from @rain_mobile
being on rainone also doensnt seem to help
BS
and what makes you eligible? clearly joining the waitlist on the same month that subscriptions sold out isn'tenough
first-come, first-served basis my ass @rain_mobile
also been waiting. since launch actually for a priority sub with absolutely no updates, nada.
there's only been the below article but don't know if it's true or not since Rain hasnt said anything and @Jan or @Daniel Puchert haven't followed up...
But it's a worthy investment, is it not?
if afrihost can buy two large ISPs then surely they can invest in geforce now servers.
They've got top tier comms, network and existing hosting stuff on their website so they know what they're doing.
Not this nonsense called @rain_mobile
Man this sucks, absolutely no word from Rain for over 14 months on slot availability.
No communication at all.
wish one of you guys would just partner up with Nvidia to properly bring GeForce Now to the country @AfriNatic @PBCool @websquadza
from "slots will be available in the near future" to absolute silence yet again, god i wish another isp partnered with nvidia instead of rain.
knowing there's so much demand and having people wait for over a year for a priority slot yet not doing any upgrades or providing anything other than...
I wish.
They told me that they'd have updates on slots only in the new year when I enquired earlier this month.
So much for expanding capacity "later in the year"
Grateful to @rain_mobile for hooking me up with a priority slot, only took a couple of hours since the payment link didn't come through the first time but it was smooth sailing afterwards.
These guys are killing it
The reoccurring theme with most Alliance partners is that they're 5g or mobile broadband focused. Why Nvidia chooses partners like that is beyond me.
It's not like GFN is tied to Rain's wireless infrastructure so can you please elaborate on that "would take a more agnostic approach to hosting"...
