    Had to same thing, logged into itunes store via website, went onto account details and reconfirmed account details, everything working 100% afterwards. I use the US store with US gift vouchers as money.

    @SkyMatix, maybe it was my 1394 problem too, didn't want to upgrade past 4.1, otherwise one cannot jailbreak. Will probably stay on 4.0 until there more jb hack out for the later IOS versions, could only backup 4.2.1 SHSH files with tiny umbrella so don't want to upgrade now until there is more...

    I have the exact same problem, mine is stuck on FW 4.0. cannot upgrade at all. Also bought phone 2nd hand on that FW. phoned supposed to be factory unlocked and wasn't jailbroken. You could try to update to 4.0 and used the jailbreakme.com website to jailbreak and unlock the phone. Try to backup...
