    5G vs 4G Vodacom Contract

I switched my router to 4G connectivity only as a test and I immediately noticed a drop in speed. I ran a speed test on my 5G capable phone and I'm also getting in excess of 250mbps on average. So yes, on paper at least (location dependent), you should up to get 100mbps on 5G.

    5G vs 4G Vodacom Contract

Yup, I think I regret going with Vodacom 5G. I'm not sure if the issue is related to the generation (4G vs 5G), signal band (2.4GHz vs 5GHz) or even the channel of either. Recently moved house just down the road. My 5G router always has full signal 5G connectivity according to the LED...

    IT Workup

@ITworkup In the event that an identical item is found cheaper (new and unsealed) at another South African retailer, is the company willing to, at minimum, match the price or even offer a lower price on it?

    5G vs 4G Vodacom Contract

Thanks for your input @DapperDanMan. It's appreciated! Also another reason why I'm looking at mobile options is because it seems to be cheaper than fibre options at the same speeds. The cost differences are quite significant. I'm assuming you're paying more for the reliability, stability of...

    5G vs 4G Vodacom Contract

Hi there, Currently I've got a contract that's ended with MTN offering a 1TB per month fixed cap with best effort speed (no speed cap) that often goes above 100mbps download and I'm using the ZTE MFC286 router (4G router). Vodacom is currently offering an up to 100mbps home internet deal with...

    NZXT still in the country?

I I'm guessing Evetech? Won't ever consider them in any universe  Sounds like NZXT is heading for a dead end in SA.

    NZXT still in the country?

I've noticed NZXT stock listings from a lot of the local retailers seem to be dropping. Friend of mine is wanting to source an NZXT motherboard and case but it seems very unlikely to get either locally. Out of curiosity, who is that one retailer?

    Showmax vs DSTV Streaming Quality

We have LTE. Sometimes the speed is reaches even higher. Latency is around 15ms on average. Can't imagine that would be an issue. Strangely enough though, we tested Showmax on both a low spec laptop and a mid tier desktop. There was fair less buffering on the desktop. Maybe that's just...

    Showmax vs DSTV Streaming Quality

Good evening, We've been subscribed to Showmax Pro for quite a while now and the streaming quality is pathetic despite the fact that we are running a 30mbps connection with direct cable connection to the TV / Laptop. It buffers every few seconds as well. Very seldomly is it actually decent...

    Purchasing from Etsy.com in 2022

Hi there, I'm looking at purchasing an item from a Chinese seller on Etsy.com. I'm not ready to buy just yet, doing research :) The seller has thousands of 5 star reviews and ratings. They use a courier company called Buffalo to deliver the parcels once they land in the country. I've read bad...

Wondering if NZXT will ever bring more of their products to SA

I've been looking around at motherboards and it seems as though NZXT's motherboards are noticeably absent from the local market. I wonder if they will ever be brought in. Importing one is kinda out of the question :notworthy: They look super striking when used in an NZXT case. Any thoughts?
