Hi there,

I'm looking at purchasing an item from a Chinese seller on Etsy.com. I'm not ready to buy just yet, doing research :)

The seller has thousands of 5 star reviews and ratings. They use a courier company called Buffalo to deliver the parcels once they land in the country. I've read bad reviews about them and wonder if its better to use a third party shipping service to avoid any potential hassle or mess up.

If anyone has any experiences, it would be appreciated!

Chinese + thousands of 5* reviews = doubt.

There are literally farms set up in China that charge sellers to post positive reviews for subpar products on Amazon, etc.

I ordered an original Gameboy shell and a Gameboy Advance shell from them probably about a year or so ago. The original Gameboy shell was good but the GBA shell was another original shell but with no silicon buttons or any internals.

It took nearly 3 months to get to me, communication was rotten and I just thought it not worth pursuing the fsck up so just put it down to school fees.

Has anyone started an Etsy shop or do you know anyone that's started an Etsy shop and have they been successful?
I started an etsy shop a month ago just to see if I can actually sell on there. Ive created lots of digital things so far ive only sold 4 things. But from all the YouTube videos ive watched they say it's very hard to sell on Etsy and do well.
So far im very happy
