The only logical explanation is that PG bought data from a 'data broker on the internet' that either got leaked in the breach or sold.
I have a similar setup to the lady in the article, and it's amazing who you catch out.
If this was logged at 1am, why does Afrihost not know about it at 4:30 when I logged my ticket? I got asked to restart, etc.with no ref to the area issue until almost 7am?
Fibre down since 00:36. Restarted ont and router, no effect. Link and auth lights on ont on steady, Internet light off. Router not able to establish pppoe. Ticket HCQ-179-36371
Modem is syncing, and guest account works, but not other ISP accounts. Unfortunately not managed by Afrihost, so they will have to log a fault. Thanks for the reply.
My inlaws' router was working fine until loadshedding yesterday, not it's not authenticating with Afrihost or WebAfrica account. It does authenticate with telkom guest account.
Is anyone aware of issues in that area?
I put in a pre-order on openserve's site, now waiting for my ISP account. Apparently it comes configured with an account from openserv that's valid for 30 days.
I have also discovered, by accident, that using an ADSL account for PPPoE works...
Must say I've been impressed with the...
My line got installed and activated today, but I still need to get an ISP account. The ONT is active and I can access the internet when connected to it's wifi, I'm assuming it's using a guest account. What are the limits on the guest account? I seem to get about 15mbps on a speedtest.
Openserv installed fibre infrastructure in the lower parts of Boston last week, but according to ISPs its not live yet. Anyone here that can provide timelines for go-live so I can order?
