    Supersonic service is horrendous!

I'm not sure why Supersonic is voted by My Broadband as one of the top ISP in SA! I have had the most diabolic service from them when trying to register as a new user! I constantly received reminders from Supersonic after I showed interest in there products. On accepting their link, and paying...

New billing legislation for internet service providers

Thanks everyone for your answers. I have a contract that can roll-over if I don't use it. BUT when I have to buy more data online, all the data options have limits, from 'one hour' to '7 days' .....you don't use the data, you lose it all on the expiry date. This is theft and...

Investigation reveals fraudulent subscriptions to Vodacom WASPs

I have asked My Broadband to lead me to the 'new' legislation made by ICASA earlier this year, where Vodacom, amongst others, were no longer allowed to put a time limit on data or airtime bought by customers! To date I have not received a reply from My Broadband.....and Vodacom continues to...

New billing legislation for internet service providers

Thanks Copacetic.....some useful info....BUT I still don't see the legislation where all unused data was to be rolled-over, meaning that there should no longer be restrictions or expiry of data for consumers. I distinctly remember this announcement on the news at the beginning of this year...

Could some please tell me where I can find the new billing legislation for internet service providers which was promulgated from the 1st January 2020? Vodacom and MTN were mandated to bring their prices for data and airtime down. To date I have not seen any change in Vodacom's pricing. It is now...

"Hi Broadband, you had an article on the CEO of Telkom Andrew Dawson announcing that they were implementing 'no expiring' data for their customers....and not just low data purchasers. Quote: " In addition to the ability to transfer mobile data to other users, Telkom subscribers will now also...

    The new 'Fresh Phone'....??

Hi.....please could someone enlighten me on the new 'Fresh Phone' with it's cheap rates? They talk about it being the 'new' way to have a home-phone. When looking at their Website, I see the client can choose a new phone number.....does that mean that you need a separate cellphone? Or is this a...

    Data Usage - help

When receiving Whatsapp calls or texts, does the receiver's data get used up, as well as the sender's data? I was always under the impression that only the sender's data is eaten up....and NOT the person who receives the text or call. Please clarify for me. Many Thanks.
