iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

iPhone 14 Pro purchased in UAE. Motherboard or IC was gone within a week. As luck would have it, phone started acting up on the flight home, overheating and random restarts. Device was booked in at my local iStore, they kept harping on about it being a simple software fix. Assured them I had...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

I’m currently away from home. Back tomorrow at the latest. Hope it’s enabled on my side. What you say sounds awesome and gives me hope that I can successfully hold a business call or even emergency calls during load shedding! Will revert back to the forum, fingers crossed!!

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

Hey we’re on the same side here, I totally agree with you lol.. But the greedy bunch at MTN want you to activate old school roaming and use it outside the country so they can milk you properly, that’s why they block all attempts to get onto WiFi calling when travelling. Trust me I tried so...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

It might be called this on your phone. You need WiFi calling enabled on the sim you want to carry over sim one. I normally use this when I travel, before I leave I force sim 2 onto another network by doing a manual network search and choosing another carrier. That makes it work over the local...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

It’s because MTN are a bunch of greedy boys. Vodacom has roaming agreements with many countries now. I usually use a prepaid Vodacom eSim when I travel, R99 a GB. Other packages are 350 for 5Gb data, alternatively 550 for 5Gb and 200 minutes. Not even worth the trouble of using those apps or...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

Sorry for the late response. Under settings go to SIM manager, then scroll down to see data switching and backup calls. Make sure that setting is on. Thereafter if you fall out of signal, it should carry one sim over the mobile data of a second sim. Same as how WiFi calling would host your...

iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

I use this for more convenience and less clutter at home or work. One power brick, one cable, 3 devices attended to at once.

iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

So far so good! But only when caseless or with the Magsafe case, falls off with my generic case fitted on the phone lol Forgot to mention earlier, the Type A to C cable it comes with in the box is quite weak or underspecced in terms of power delivery to this dock. I use a type C to C cable...

iPhone 15 Rumours & Release Date

I have this Troo dock you have linked in your post. Its awesome! Place everything on overnight and its all fully charged come the morning, super convenient. Also a company that stands by their 5 year warranty through Takealot, no questions asked. The next Troo product I have my eyes is their...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

What doesn’t make any sense to me is, iPhone and the latest Samsung OneUi allow you to create an internal VPN/ hotspot and host one sim over the data of the second sim. Tried hosting MTN ( internal WiFi Calling ) through my Vodacom and Cell C eSims it works just fine, so to me it looks like...

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

Mine worked perfectly fine all day at the office over Afrihost Fibre. For me it’s just MWeb and they’re insisting they don’t block WiFi calling protocols or anything of the sort. Not going to even bother calling MTN to try troubleshooting, their contact centre is absolutely clueless! Lol

    MWeb blocking MTN VoWiFi connectivity

This headache with MWeb is definitely not worth the Hassle! Moving over to Afrihost come end of the month..
