Exactly my frustration too. How does a certified document lose it's authenticity in the absence of any tampering thereof :X3:

I think I should take my chances at the police station as I have a whole bunch of documents that need to be recertified, and hopefully they won't ask questions. I have my mom's original death certificate with me, maybe the police would be understanding in the matter.

They want a copy of the death certificate and ID, which doesn't make any sense, as one would think that a death certificate would be sufficient :X3:
