    The splatter is not that much we have a very absorbant mat just out side which seems to catch all the splatter. We enjoy the open shower and haven't had any issues with leaking. The floor in the shower slopes to the trap. I would suggest getting a competent installer and tiler to execute correctly.

    The floor was ice cold this morning. You don't think of these things when doing the reno. My plan is to get the infra red heater. My parents have it and works amazing.
