    It was a lie after all. Retentions called today and said I am still going to pay the upgrade fee and I called the lady a liar and asked to port to prepaid and she transferred me to who I presume is her boss and told her the same thing and she hung up on me!

    Yes, its the same deal I am currently on. 1GB (+10GB addon), 100min, 50 SMS for R88. I can retain it for either 36months at R88 or 24months for R127. Its still fine for me, my greediness is saying wait for new BF deals

    Thanks, I just did. Apparently it will continue to be R88 minus the 10GB (its actually 1GB+10GB, 100minutes, 50 SMS) Edit: I was offered to continue with it same price for 24months (R127) or 36months(R88)

    Worryingly am also on BF deal from 3 years ago and didn't receive these warning SMSs or emails about my deal. I am on a R90 deal (10GB, 100 minutes, 50 SMS) and don't want to change and wonder whats the actual cost per month of this deal

    When to pay it off...was not really a consideration. I was just tired of outages lasting up to 5 days in my area. Luckily I had half of the expenditure in savings and the other half took from the access bond.

    Ya it seems like those plugs don't do anything except plugging drilled holes. Will probably contact a contractor for alternatives even though I wanted a DIY solution.
