I'm using a PiHole with Unbound for DNS and it's still doing it...
Guess we'll just have to download the youtube videos, watch them and then delete them... Messy, but effective...
Now, where's that eye patch? ARRR!
My internet is and has been working perfectly for ages. The only thing that's not working is the IPv6 part. But that's not really a deal breaker.
However according to Clientzone I'm not connected... and haven't been all month...
Also according to activate.afrihost.com there's an error...
Afrihost / Frogfoot connection.
For ages I've had my router (ASUS RT-AX58U) configured to use IPv6 natively and it's worked perfectly.
About a week or two ago I noticed that nothing and no-one was getting anything through IPv6, no ip addresses nothing.
So I switched my router to passthough and...
When I first setup this server, I got it working by using my ip.afrihost.co.za address in the dns config on cloudflare.
I've just rebuilt the whole docker stack again and when I fired up traefik, it threw an error that makes it all clear...
"cloudflare: failed to find zone ip.afrihost.co.za...
I'd almost kill for a non-cgnatted IP address!!!
If I could get one of those, heck, I'd even pay for it... this CGNAT is awful!
@AfriNatic if it's possible to get a proper public IP, I'd love that!
My docker server went haywire and I though it's been a year and a half since I set it up, I'll re-do the whole server while trying to fix it.
I've followed the guide and everything is setup and working locally but absolutely nothing works the moment I try to access anything via my domain...
Wow! That netbird does look pretty darn awesome... but you'd need a VPS on the outside to get it working...
The Afrihost ip thing helps a lot... but it should really be "adjusted" to only provide the ipv4 details since ipv6 doesn't need it at all...
Dude!
It took me a day to set it up following the guide(s)...
It's all working beautifully... Sadly I have to download everything again, but otherwise it's awesome. Even for a Linux noob like me!
