Thank you that’d be perfect. The email they sent to ask for ID, bank statement and order confirmation was pretty dodge. And after submitting everything the page didn’t refresh or anything like that it just said “successfully obtained importer’s code” as a pop up message. So I hope that’s all fine.
Thanks to everyone who responded with really useful information. May I just ask if anyone has received an email stating that their package has been detained by South African customs? And if so how long did it take to clear?
Buffalo told me earlier today it’s an inspection
They told me earlier today it’s under inspection, but that can’t be the case with the Importer’s code email they sent right?
That would be a dream, wow. I’ve called Buffalo twice today and they told me the process would take 4-8 weeks. I’m just praying that the customer service have no idea what they’re talking about because my package’s status says “clearing” not “detained by customs”. I really hope you’re right
Thank you so much for the response and the very useful information. How long will the process take? I have an uncle that works for SARS and another family friend involved with customs. Could I by any chance get them to speed up the process. I’ve already been pushed around enough by Buffalo.
Hi there this is the email I received. What’s aggravating me so much about the situation is the fact that they lost my previous parcel which I then re ordered for this to happen. The entire process of trying to get what I want has taken 2 months. How long will the clearing take?
