I found the reason I was not getting a response on my DHCPv6 client was because I had non standard filter rules.

Hey all, I have been trying to get IPv6 going on my Mikrotik, but I have not had much luck.
Hoping someone can shine some light on the process.
Im on Openserve and I see an IPV6 address is assigned to the PPPOE connection.

Yeah, I have backup power for my equipment. So long as the fibre provider's equipment stays up I should be good.

I don't know of any reason why you should not be able to.
Most of the config is to allow them to remotely manage the router.
Most ISP's use PPPOE over Vuma so as long a you can dial a PPPOE connection you a re good to go.
They use mikrotik routers if I recall.
You can simply factory reset the device.
Then setup the WAN port to receive an IP over DHCP and configure your PPPOE connection and your a re good to go.
Had a customer of mine do this and no complaints.
