Best tv for ps5 gaming.

No I dont. I bought a rubbish Hisense instead and i regret it till this day. My biggest regret in life. But i learnt a lesson from it. My motto now is never to reward myself with cheap junk ever again until the day I die. I will rather save and buy expensive but good quality products and live in bliss.
Yes, but also that means I should wait till Samsung fixes their QD OLED QC issues and buy the next one or the one after. And I want a new TV now, not in 2 years time.

I would never recommend a samsung tv to anyone. They are just as bad as Hisense, and they skimp their tvs with basic features and oh boy let us not talk about how over saturated the colours are on samsung tvs. The only tvs worth buying in SA are made by Lg and Sony, Do not bother with anything else if quality is what you are after.

EDIT:

Hey guys.

So I know I said I wasn’t interested in monitors, but it seems the space I have available in my bedroom is unfortunately not enough for a 55” tv. My current one is only 32” and is mounted on the wall in a nook in my bedroom, and having a massive tv there just won’t sit right as I sit quite close to the tv and it’ll cover my window.

So if anyone has any good monitors they can recommend I’d really appreciate it. Of course 4k, hdmi 2.1, and 120hz if possible please.

The Hisense A8H and the LG C1 are both number 1 on my tv list (thank you all so much for the recommendations) for the future if my space gets bigger, but for now, I think a monitor will be better suited to my needs.

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is well.

I need some advice from all the gamers please:

I’d like to buy a ps5 console, but I’m stuck as to what is the best tv to purchase. I know it needs to be 4k, be 120Hz, and need at least one HDMI 2.1 port. At the same time I would prefer not to have to break the bank as the ps5 costs R12,499 and most decent tv’s I’ve looked at goes around the R14k-R20k mark. So I’ll be in for around R28K or more, which I can afford, but feel it’s a bit much to spend on a weekend and evenings hobby.

What tv did you guys buy or what would you recommend and why?
I would prefer to spend 10k on a tv(or less - I know it’s probably not possible, but I’m just pushing my luck here).
If you have good recommendations more than the R10k to R12k mark please also do mention them as I might be willing to stretch my cash a bit if it’s irresistible.
I also don’t need a big tv. My current cheap Sinotec one is around 32”, so anything slightly bigger than that is fine. I don’t need the cinematic experience as I sit right up close to my tv mounted on the wall and I don’t have allot of space for a massive tv. And honestly I’m not a fan of monitors as I watch Netflix as well and don’t like the look of them.

I’ve seen that the Hisense U7G sells for around R10k at Makro for a 55” model - which is very affordable and it seems to have all the features one could possibly want for the ps5. My only gripe with Hisense is that allot of people complain about the sound and overall quality of Hisense tv’s. They don’t seem to last that long which is a bummer as I’d like to keep my tv for the next 6 to 10 years.

Thanks so much in advance to everyone who’s willing to weigh in.

Your fellow South African and loadshedding hater.
(Lol, couldn’t resist a jab at Eskom)

Which tv did you end up going with ?

That 65 inch OLED with 120Hz panel, 2x HDMI 2.1 and VRR that was selling for R25k on takealot a few weeks ago.
It's Hisense tho

But why spend that much on a Hisense?
Because it's almost half the price of other TVs with the same specs. Also myself and extended family have no problems with Hisense so far. Just make sure you research properly and claim your extended warranty.
