Womens T20 world cup South Africa 2023

All over bar the shouting.

When you alienate one of the worlds best openers and one of the worlds premier all rounders, better make sure you got ample cover.

F uck me, how many times did the 3rd umpire have to check the Khaka stumping? Bellend.

So Australia waltz past the Windies. Nothing surprising there.

It stands to reason that we will have to beat them to stand a chance of advancing and even then, it may not be guaranteed. Assuming we pull off a miracle and win that match (as well as against Bangladesh, the Windies and NZ), we would need Sri Lanka now to slip up in one or more of their remaining matches. Assuming again they beat all but Aus, it will in likely come down to NRR as the win/loss rate will be the same as ours. So our wins now have to be convincing.

Oh lawd, sorry. I got my groups and fixtures all muddled. This heat, I tell you!

Still, my point remains. Australia are the ones to beat in our group and the rest are playing for that second knock out spot.

NZ has not been that good lately, but let's hope they surprise the Aussies tonight and take a win.
