John and the DA are a disaster.
It depends.Do you think the DA would be happy to go back to government with the EFF's support if things don't work out between the ANC and EFF?
I doubt this will be a big thing, even if they contest, they'll probably get sub 2% of the vote max.
What about the Purple Cow and the DA, has he given up?
You don't think there should come a time where they accept that they don't have the numbers and just resign themselves to being an opposition? Do you think there is anything for them to benefit with this in and out of government? It depends.
I agree with Phalatse's view that there can be working relationships between DA and EFF, but nothing more than that (i.e. no coalescing).
So if EFF abandons ANC and gives their vote to UF again, I don't think they'll oppose it? I mean it would be moronic to go "Don't vote for us in council, we don't want your vote" or to somehow try and stop EFF from voting for them...
I agree that it negatively impacts them but they're between a rock and a hard place. You don't think there should come a time where they accept that they don't have the numbers and just resign themselves to being an opposition? Do you think there is anything for them to benefit with this in and out of government?
The Sunday Times has always been anti-DA.
Also, I could be wrong but doesn't the editor of ST write the Hogarth articles? The Sunday Times has always been anti-DA.
I mean it went to such an extent once that the DA took ST to the Press Council/Ombudsman and won the case:

The biggest mampara is the "journalist" who wrote that k@k.
It appeals to the primitive level of intellect of those who read such rags. How do you take them seriously when they're using word play on the DA (or anyone)? That's just childish.
