If you want to dip your toes into iOS the iPhone SE 2020 can be had for around R3500 secondhand and works great but battery life even if near 100% health is pretty dismal. Otherwise it’s a nice size and runs fast. IStore original battery replacements are very well priced the Se is under R1000 and all the other models are under R2k.

Yes

Battery life of those is 85%.
Nothing wrong with 85%. In fact, for a 2/3-year-old phone, it shows average use. You'll only need to consider replacing it when it surpasses 80%. And when you do, it's cheap as chips for a fresh new lease on life.

I only replaced my iPhone X's battery a few months ago. It was 4.5 years old and used all day, every day.

Further, you'll be much happier for much longer with a 12 Pro, than a 12, just because of a battery.

Judging by your other posts, you ‘tweak’ a lot with side loading & other hacks

Are you not worried that you’ll get frustrated within a few days because you can’t do that?

I found another site for used iPhones. Never used them so cannot comment on their reliability or service levels but the site looks legit.

Maybe the side loading stories are all made up to appear cool on forum.
