Steve Hofmeyr booted from boat cruise concert: 'I will never climb on one of their ships again'

Well, unfortunately for MSC, they are now about to lose a substantial amount of regular paying customers in the process. If they think they already lost some due to economic downturn, it is about to get a whole lot worse for them.

If I was their marketing team, I would move marketing focus to Soweto, Kagiso, Kathlehong and the likes as soon as possible in the hope of getting clients to fill the gap they are about to experience.

He is streaming IPTV channels and grabbing content on the high seas. Pretty much like all of us. Oh, and by the way, DSTV have never really recovered from Steve and the clients it has lost in the process.

I once worked with a guy who called Steve a "Superstar"

I told him no, he maybe has 30k to 50k fans on the planet, Superstars would be people like Led Zeppelin, Katy Perry, eh, even Mandoza has a bigger fanbase.

He didn't speak to me for a week.

I think the MSC or any company thinking of making use of the MSC may find it more difficult to get decent names to perform on the ship in future.

I actually saw the guy live once on my 18'th birthday nogal.

I was a casual till operator for OK at the time and they had a stand selling his dvd's outside the store and he appeared for an hour.

I had to endure every second of it.
