Ask them for a schedule of services, and an estimate quote for the parts required for each service. That way you’ll see if it’s worth the plan. In my experience it’s cheaper not to have this plan.Should I extend the warranty? Add a maintenance plan?
Or only just before the 3-year warranty/service plan expires?
Still better than any non private banking. I was hoping to reach investec level by now, but the last couple of months have been very tough and I will need to re-plan going forward.
Dont give up hope saw your other posts things are rough from time to time just stick it out there!Still better than any non private banking. I was hoping to reach investec level by now, but the last couple of months have been very tough and I will need to re-plan going forward.
And it's a burgundy colourMazda CX-30
On that note, what sort of financing is decent rates wise?
Thanks, I'm currently sitting just below 12% linked from my bank.If you can get prime - anything you are extremely lucky in the current climate
I have an insanely good credit record and could only get prime linked in Jan of this year
The highest I got was 15.75 fixed and lowest was 12.5 linked from my own bank
Had to go with a company called Marquis Finance to get prime, but in 2 months ill try convince by bank to buy the loan so I know im back with someone reputable lol
Thanks, I'm currently sitting just below 12% linked from my bank.
I'm not that phased because I intend to pay off the loan in quite a short amount of time, but why not get the best offer?
Dealer matched Absa but then wanted to add all sorts of extras into the deal. So I said thanks but no thanks. Since they are the same as Absa, I said I was happy to go with them for financing (without any extras), but can they do anything for me on the price/delivery costs.
I've been doing this. You can apply at the bank or go via their agent on site. What quote are you looking for? The finance interest rate? Get them to apply and apply at your bank and play them off against each other to get the best rate.
I wanted the car quote, not monthly installment quote. They were happy to supply. They can't give you an interest rate and monthly installment quote without first applying.
I did take the best deal.
I was just showing the crazy range of offers I got. Let me find the excel sheet I created:
LINKED TO PRIME
ABSA 13.95
NEDBANK 13.4
WESBANK 13
MARQUES PRIME*
STANDARD 13.2
FIXED ABOVE PRIME
ABSA 15.47
NEDBANK 15.1
WESBANK 13.36
MARQUES 12.28
STANDARD 15.56
15.5% fixed from Standard Bank, lol. I will rather just walk.
Yeah you must fight them hard on on road costs and delivery fees. If you push hard enough they usually drop it or lower to R1000 or so
No way they can justify 5K to get a licence disk. That's just exploitation.
Yes , definately. They are throwing in smash and grab for 'free'. Is it even worth it? I don't want any tints, just the clear one, but I also don't want to see any weird bubbles on the film.
I'm also in the process of purchasing a vehicle and got 11,75% linked but this was the first offer, so will push for a better interest rateThanks, I'm currently sitting just below 12% linked from my bank.

You 100% want the smash and grab, as well as it being tinted. They are throwing in smash and grab for 'free'. Is it even worth it? I don't want any tints, just the clear one, but I also don't want to see any weird bubbles on the film.
I got clear smash and grab. The rear windows already have privacy glass, and I like to see properly out the front ones. Always found it weird sitting in cars with darker windows, named everything look weird outside. You 100% want the smash and grab, as well as it being tinted.
It looks much better, and can make a noticeable difference in in car temp when parked. Also sun exposure, to both skin and interior trim.
You don’t need a 90% tint, just the legal limit 35%
