What game are you playing now? (Part 2)

Heavily into Ghost Recon: Breakpoint...great game. Much bigger open world than Wildlands.
Great game, especially with some of the recent DLCs. I still play Wildlands as well, the world in that game is much more alive, but the storyline in Breakpoint explains the lack of that "lived in" feeling of Auroa

I tend to avoid buying AAA games brand new.... so while I wait for GoW Ragnarok to come down in price, I bought Watch Dogs Legion, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Legion is decent, a little repetitive, but a fun little adventure. Kena, on the other hand, is a popcorn game, it's nothing really challenging, some cool puzzles and a gorgeous time-killer.
My PS Plus Extra membership is teetering on cancellation this year, I don't see the value in it. Sony isn't releasing games that I would want to play, and after they let me play AC Odyssey, and then pulled AC Valhalla off the library, I felt that the membership needed urgent review.

Same. So many games from the last few years I still have to play though so it doesn't matter. Brand new games can wait.

I bought Watch Dogs Legion
One of the games I still want to try. Loved the first 2 games. I Usually don't mind repetitiveness that much, I'm used to ubi games by now.

You say that just as they announce Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PS Plus? :p

Pre/early-unlocked my atomic heart for xbox game pass. Hopefully MS don't **** me for that...
Someone loved the half-life 1 tram ride. Now enter the soviet version. LOL.

Minor annoyances:
  • mini game to unlock doors
  • mini game when you are grabbed/pinned
  • vsync can't be switched on in any mode
  • keys are a bit weird: moved doged to one of my mouse buttons along with a few over things which crowds your wsad hand
  • seems some parts within cutscenes are 15fps-30fps
  • everything is in russian you have to hover over the text to get the englishu (signs, posters, etc)
Initial (quite virgin) impressions:
  • Mick Gordan is back. OST of course...
  • Dystopian bioshock in the clouds, well starting part - with robots and mind tech. 1984 loves it?
  • UE4 minus the stutter, smooth as butter so far
  • grandma will **** you up. forget hobo with a shotgun.

Yeah think it gradually changes as you progress through main quest line?

Only noticed it when I ventured outside and saw snow....
Was like WTF!!!, followed by this is a neat touch.

Thinking back, I did kinda notice browning of the scenery, but it wasn't such a shock as BAM.. snow.

Really cool little touch and every season has different decor (Halloween, Christmas etc)

I really need to "start" this game, I've basically done the first "main question" - charm class, and one of the moth/mirror side quests

It normally takes me a while to get addicted.

Count yourself lucky

We have like 30 min's "fights" every night on who's turn it is. Doesn't help that the loser normally ends up making supper either.

Cast some fire spells on the snowmen you find for a nice little interaction...

It feels like Breakpoint is becoming a bit of a grind. I don't play with anyone, so taking on Level 200 drones is more miss than hit and I tend to then avoid them.
It feels like it's the same-old and I can't really get into the story as well or as in-depth as I did with Wildlands (THAT was a fantastic game).
Since moving to Europe I have a 20-30ms ping in BF4 (probably the same in BF3) and I can feel the tug to start playing that game again...beats playing with a 190ms ping on European servers like I was in SA.

That said, I have a ton of other games I could also play. Watch Dogs is one. The Division is another and I'd started that game early last year.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the character dialogue, although granted that is more of a major annoyance.
I'd go so far as to recommend putting the voice to Russian and use subtitles.

That said I'm very impressed with the world they created.

Ps you should be ale to change vsync, I know it was an issue with some of the leaked versions, but if all else fails I believe you can go to
%localappdata%l\AtomicHeart\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini (unsure if that's still the valid path)

and add "bUseVSync=True"

character dialogue => that depends, if you are going to cyclops on it / just add on to the 'character dialogue narrative' then I suppose it could be cringe.

What are you folks looking for? Shawshank redemption?

Nah, but compare it to the writing of GoW for example which I would say is some of the best in recent memory. I'm probably too aware of it considering how bad writing has become in movies/series.

I was convinced it was parody dialogue akin to Duke Nukem or bad translation, but apparently the Russian version is similar in context.
Don't get me wrong I don't mind Duke Nukem style if that is what they are going for.
Still enjoying the game
