Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes killed in Durban nightclub shooting

It is pretty sad that the lowest price for an order to take someone out (according to Eusebius's tweet) is R10 000.
Someone of AKA’s stature and they accept a job for maybe R250 000? Seems like they were desperate.
R250K is nothing to sneeze at... unless you got 5x that amount lying around somewhere? If indeed there was a contract out to kill AKA, I do not think the amount would be R250K; it is probably a bit higher than that. From that tweet, it seems like the taxi boss is speculating as to how much the hit would be.

Look to be fair, I know of a lot of people who wouldn't even get out of bed for 250k, albeit not hitmen. Given the justice system is what it is in SA, I personally don't think the price was anywhere near 250k, maybe around 50k. Lots of sellers and relatively fewer buyers in the crime ridden land of SA

50K? Really? No professional would do a job of that magnitude for that money in my opinion.

The cheaper someone does a complex job for, the more fuçk ups there will be. Nobody who contracts a hitman wants mess ups.

I'm not saying the killers are seasoned hitmen, but I doubt they are some nyaope guys looking for a quick buck.

I still think R50k is a lot when you have no other legitimate means to make an income. If the price for a nobody is 10k, I doubt aka is 25x that. Could be wrong, this is all speculation at the end of the day

Don't worry about the rest of the rant. He mentions his rates somewhere.

The guy is well known in the area, doubt he is a hired killer

That was from the statement from the ANC but that statement was very vague and it seemed like it was issued more to try and get info from people in the community if they know anything.

Someone who is known to the community is unlikely to be so stupid and commit a murder of a high-profile person in front of people that they know.

There are people that would kill you for a cellphone

The price for a nobody in CT = R2k to R5k.
The cheap and nasty dirty work is assigned to the gentleman with too few teeth and far too many tattoos, usually including the number "28"

For some reason I dont see him as a cool guy, he was also bood at his own comedy roast
