The United States is seeing signs that Russia is proposing to help the Iranians on their missile programme, and at least considering the possibility of providing fighter aircraft to Iran, in exchange for military aid in their ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
As CNN reports, William Burns, CIA Director, said the alliance between Russia and Iran is developing rapidly, an emerging narrative that he called "disturbing."
"It's moving at a pretty fast clip in a very dangerous direction right now, in the sense that we know that the Iranians have already provided hundreds of armed drones to the Russians, which they're using to inflict pain on Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. We know that they've provided, you know, ammunition for artillery and for tanks as well," Burns said.
Burns previously said the U.S. was confident China considered sending lethal aid to Russia, but Beijing has not yet made a final decision.
As reported, the British Defence Secretary believes that Russia has probably exhausted the reserves of Iranian drones (Ukr), but is looking for ways to replenish them.
The stench of Russian desperation is becoming overwhelming

So much whiplash in the past few days.

One day Ukraine is going to invade Transnistria, the next they don't have enough soldiers. The next day Russia is getting Chinese tanks, then it's well akshually Russia doctrine is to use small battlefield tactical nukes, so beware of that.

Seems like a huge dose of hopium, intermixed with copium.

The fog seems thicker than usual - Belarus also

All quiet on the Western Front. But I believe not so much in the Bakhmut area. Hearing rumours of a Ukrainian counter offensive and dams being blown up. Anybody got solid info on this?

I suggest subscribing, it is a very good channel for daily updates for what is actually happening and where is is happening. No nonsense.

It's not your observation of it, it's the language you use that makes it seem as if what Russia is doing is somehow righteous.

Instead of saying "Russia is disregarding internationally agreed upon rules and attacking Ukraine for resources and territorial gain (which was last done by Hitler)." you say "Russia is fighting US hegemony to shift the world from a unilateral to a multi-polar order."

You're dressing a crime up as virtuous act. And it's shameful.

A series of explosions took place at the Belarusian airport in Machulishchi near Minsk, which allegedly damaged the plane and the airport plows for clearing snow from the airport surface, according to Belarusian opposition organizations, including Belarusian military dissidents BYPOL. Initially, it was said that the Russian Il-76 heavy transport aircraft was to be damaged in the attack, but now it is more and more often said that it is the Beriev A-50 early warning and command aircraft, based on the aforementioned Ilyushin design. It would be another huge loss for the Russian Air Force.
