Pause for a moment and snap a quick pic - The Mobile Photography Thread

Wife was trimming the bougainvillea we are growing across our verandah for shade, look who decided to setup shop on top and even a few chicks.

You know, people say Chickens are stupid and I have a flock but these are the dumbest birds I've seen in the wild, the nest is really nothing but a few twigs, f it wasn't for the vines , it would have blown away or fallen long ago. Its like a bald man hanging on to his last blips of hair.

Anyway, some more photos, chicks are feathering up.

What is it like there these days?

Used to go there at times more than 15 years ago, then it went it bit backwards so have not been there since.
It had been many years since I'd been there last and this past weekend a lot of it was exactly how I remember it from years ago, so I don't think much has changed or gone backwards at all.
The biggest issue with the place is the terrible 11km dirt road you have to drive to actually get to the resort. Aside from that, there are some minor inconveniences with housekeeping and a few silly (probably due to budget) decisions they made how they converted bathtubs to showers with only a silly little shower curtain to magically stop water from splashing and getting the entire bathroom wet.
I've seen some Google reviews where people complain about having to pay for activities and so on, but AFAIK booking a room at a resort almost never includes anything other than just the room itself and entrance to the grounds, so those complaints are probably a bit unreasonable.
The restaurant is pretty pricey, but again, I've never been on holiday where the on-premises restaurants aren't somewhat expensive.

If you're ever in the Cheshire area, please take a pic of Chester Cathedral and post it here. I was there 12 years ago and was amazed it it's splendour and magnificence.
Nope. This is a small village in Northamptonshire bordering Cambridgeshire named Oundle. Quite a distance from Cheshire. As with most places here they are well kept and open to roam.

Very - at least the first few was. But you get into it. I think I'll do it again.
Yeah that Grabouw one is a great thing to do with people visiting from abroad or elsewhere in SA. Lekker fun in the mountains and doesn't require more than an normal level of fitness. Also free on your birthday once you've been.
