Twitter Blue is now available in South Africa with prices starting at R145 a month

What can Twitter Blue give to you as a 'influencer' that you can't get without normal engagement and third-party metrics?

Is the blue tick really worth that price, and recognition... I would say, no, but then I was never into the celebrity thing. I like my life low-key without 'cocksucking'.

Well the boost is worth it to some I guess.

I can see the benefit for media and businesses, if not for the tick (authenticity) it is for exposure, so I guess in this regard it may apply to influencers too. But you, as in being a subscriber, and everyone else who subscribes will just be a tick on the wall. Over time, the tick will become less valuable.

Twitter should look at feature proofing the paid for privilege having a tick otherwise the system will start to work against itself. I am just surprised by how many people are willing to pay for recognition online.

This being said, I am fully aware that there are influencers worth their salt, but being reputable and trusted is incredibly niche. Start small, don't buy a tick, grow big, and buy a tick.

Couldn't care less, but I hope the trend of paying for a service to receive half the ads instead of none of them doesn't start catching on.

Good. Now all the cult followers please put your money where your a**e licking tongue has been & subscribe to Twitter Blue. That would be far more useful to Musk than going on ad nauseam about MSM, woke etc and all the other nonsense.
