I bought a car from WE BUY CARS just to get scammed. They insisted a read the DEKRA report stating what was wrong with the car. This I did and was happy with what was disclosed and that these faults would be for my account. The problem we I got home I discovered that there were a few other major faults that were purposely held back from me. 1) the engine was about to fall out as both Engine mounts were broken off. ( DEkra stated they were in perfect working order). @) wheels were broken inside the rims and badly welded. (Dekra stated the wheels were in perfect working order). 3) Major oil leak from the condenser and oil cooler. ( Dekra stated no engine oil leaks at all).
These faults not to mention others that were not disclosed would cost me R60 000.00 to repair. If it was disclosed to me I would have never bought this car. When I went to them they purposely delayed their response by 3 weeks just to tell me they not going to assist me. This is blatant fraud and misrepresentation.
It seems al their DEKRA reports are incomplete. Dont go according to this. They are underhanded

1. Everyone here already knows that Webuycars has falsified dekra reports.

2. Everyone here knows to never buy a car cash from webuycars. If you bothered to do research or read their T’s n C’s you would know this.

Anyways if you bought via bank finance you can return the car back to them. If you bought cash unfortunately it is voetstoots and you have no recourse.

This is the problem with WeBuyCars........................they are unfortunately not WeSellCars!

You buy a car at WBC as is. No recourse. They are not selling you the car. You are buying it as is, on an auction.
Because of the auction type of transaction, it is also exempted from Consumer Protection Act.

The Devil is in the details!

I did buy cash so as you say it's voetstoots. But according to South African Law Voetstoots means that the car has to be able to perform its duty for a period of at least one month under normal circumstances. This was not the case. Their DEKRA report is supposed to be an honest and truthful report. It is compiled to cover them and the buyers. Should they not disclose faults then they should be held liable for their mishaps. Otherwise, the are lying and misleading their clients. This is fraud. I'm about to go open fraud cases against each of their directors

Ja. I'll happily sell another car to them. Not a **** would I ever buy from them.

They do have an auction on these cars for the first few days. Once that is over they put the cars on the floor to sell individually as a normal dealer

Everyone knows they lie on the dekra reports, this is nothing new.
News to me.

Question. How do we go public to make them start doing honest business? Or do we all just sit back and let it slide like everything else in SA. That is the real reason why nothing works in this country anymore.
Go public?

This is already public knowledge. Buying from WBC is like rolling the dice anyone on this forum knows that.

Lets be straight, you bought from them cause they were the cheapest you could find among all the deals available, but it comes at a price, just like buying from the auction.

With regards to going public, you might get some interest from the news publication as Transaction capital is a hot topic at the moment, and your piece might just latch on to that.

So Is this forum here to belittle people or to assist people. It seems like there is a lot of "Know it alls but do Nothing""
I think you'll find that most people are just too drained by the state of government & Eskom etc. to have the energy to go after another business trying to screw people over.

What must the forum assist you with? You the one that got scammed. You said you going to lay fraud charges against the directors. So what must the forum do?
Or do you expect to take 5min of your day, write a rant on some small forum, sit back and watch other destroy a big company?
