No. It is like saying anorexia made a person shoot up a McDonalds

Mental illness as a defence is when the person lacks the capacity to have understood what they were doing was wrong.

Someone believing they were born in the wrong body wouldn’t work towards that type of defence. They would need to raise reasonable doubt that being a tranny makes a person sufficiently incapable of moral decision making.

I see so much skewed data here, it's looking like a Democrat convention.
Since we are throwing out "facts"...here are a few for those who like to whine about gun violence and too many shootings. Research it yourself if you like...I don't expect any anti gun people to take any notice anyways.
  • Nearly 2/3 of annual gun deaths in the USA annually are from suicides.
  • Of the rest, nearly 2/3 are young black men. Do what you like with those stats.
  • "Teen" and "child" deaths include ages up to 19, of which half are homicides and around 31% of the rest are suicides. An 18 year old drug dealer being shot by a rival counts as a "child gun death"
    Gang killings etc are counted in the gun deaths.
  • The statistical likelihood of any given public school student being killed by a gun, in school, on any given day since 1999 is roughly 1 in 614 MILLION
  • You are more likely to die on the way to school, by a disease or in an after-school activity than you are to be killed in a school shooting.
Also...when are we banning transgender people, since apparently they are now a serious mental health violence risk? Oh wait, the trans shooter gets a pass because...trans. Or is it gets a pass because....pronouns?
I forget which.
