Republicans are going to focus on the shooter being trans, just like they did on a goddamn side-door at Uvalde... anything to distract from the guns... 'cos it's the guns. And access to the guns. And you know it.

But you already agree that the mental illness played no effect on this person's ability to tell right from wrong so why do you think treating the mental illness will address the problem?

Mental illness is a broad classification for starters. And people can suffer from more than one.

My post was geared more to transgenderism specifically.

If people with mental health problems have easy access to guns then you can't remove guns from the discussion.

For sure, in fact I doubt her penis envy was what triggered the decision to get a bunch of assault rifles and go shoot kids?

Far more likely her gender dysphoria was combined with a personality disorder? Psychopath comes to mind.

But I swing back your emphasis on the fact that she has a mental disorder(s) and addressing that will resolve the "mass shooter" incidents must be based on some evidence?
What evidence do you have on the effectiveness of treating mental disorders generally or specifically.

What percentage of people with a psychopathic personality disorder can be successfully treated?

So it was suicide by cop, the 6 victims were just collateral damage… they do this for fame. The amount of true crime tv shows movies and podcasts has me thinking it’s probably more to likely to be psychopaths with narcissistic traits? Or do all psychopaths have narcissistic traits.

Oh goodness now I’m going to have to read some literature. Deep dark research hole..
