ANC stalls appointment of new SABC board

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) board selection will likely suffer further delays as the African National Congress (ANC) has instructed MPs to restart the selection process, Sunday Times reports.

The instruction came four months after the final list was submitted to President Cyril Ramaphosa. It is alleged that the ANC communication subcommittee pressurised party MPs to ensure the party's preferred candidates were appointed.

The irony of objecting to the appointment of a new Board Member who had stood up for journalistic principles and ethics... I'd say it is actually good motivation to appoint her!

The ANC don't want a board who stand for fair reporting and actual principles. Elections are coming and they would want an SABC who take instructions from Lootooli house. She was fired for embarrassing the ANC so makes sense they'd want her off the list.

This is the problem right here........why SA is such a f**kup at the moment.

the SABC should rebrand itself as ANC TV.
as thats what it is these days.
Always has been since 1994, the mouthpiece of The Great Liberation Bowel Movement. Only in 2010 did it get competition from the disgraced and suspended ANC public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane , her new favourite station was the Gupta's New Age.
