Did you actually read the article? You do realize MTN performs a desktop evaluation to see if the service is viable in your area?
You could even check the coverage map.

I did over 1000 GB on Telkom LTE in March.

This is from experience. I gave them a chance and eventually moved to the 2TB Telkom LTE package with AH.

This is what I always do when trying a new LTE service.

We go about 5 blocks across, then 3 blocks down to visit the cat that is always in a particular spot, 5 blocks back then 3 blocks back up. There are 2 parks on the trip.
 
The only other gripe I may have with this is MTN upping the price after 2-3 months as they did with the BF deal I took for one of my workers.
