Very sad to see further damage to infrastructure. The moral compass of the people of this country are so rotten.
I just can't see how the country recovers from this constant vandalism on top of the poor decisions of the ANC leading to economic collapse.
The damage to those pylons has been known about for months. That it hasn't been repaired yet is pathetic. When a country's Number 1 hides dollars in his couch there is no moral compass
Impossible when you have active saboteurs and no SAPS.But I thought they get things done where they govern?
Would unironically work.
Ain't it weird how after more than 30 to 40 years , it's only now a problem.Placing remote cameras in highrisk areas would have been much cheaper and culprits identified
What would Paul Kagame do?

Not sure if those pylons belong to the muni or Eskom, but either way it's disgraceful that the DA didn't get that sorted out. If it did belong to them, then fix it. If it didn't then scream in the media about it until Eskom is shamed into fixing it.
I expect this sort of negligence and incompetence from the thieves running the country, but not the DA. I hold them to a far higher standard.
Very sad to hear this is the DA's responsiblity.Pylons belong to the municipality, apparently they were fixed 3 or 4 times since that picture was taken - Pictures sent by ward councilors in this area show that repairs have been made.
The N4 on that stretch is pitch dark at night, so perfect opportunities for some scrap metal.
What I can say when the power did go out, we had some rather heavy winds combined with a heavy rain storm.
Couple that with some missing supports from theft after the initial repairs and it's a recipe for disaster.
Eish... Sommer all of them.
