What was the first cell phone you owned?

Also an Alcatel. I didn't get a cellphone for ages, but then I went for a few rounds of interviews and had to call the agent afterwards with updates. It was quite a schlep to find working payphones by that time, so I gave in and finally got one.

Bosch Cartel in 1995. It was the same as the Motorola of the same period, but without the 'flip cover' over the keypad.
It came with two batteries - one lasted about 8 hours and the other 12 hours, as long as you didn't use the phone much. I later bought a battery that lasted 24 hours which was about the weight of a brick.

Nokia 2110, early days of prepaid they couldn't track smses properly could sms people to the negatives

Same for me. Was a great phone, identical to the Motorola and cost way less. Got it on my first MTN contract was paying R279 per month for I think 60min Talk package, data whats that....

I got a Nokia 1610 from my dad, when I was still in school. Then bought a Nokia 3210, I believe the first Nokia without a antenna.
