South Africans complain about delayed or failed Temu orders

If you didn't get your parcel but on tracking update you see package has been delivered . What should be done?

True, discounts may have applied and dynamic pricing may had had it at it lowest level. Items go out of stock or get discontinued. You pay customs and taxes. You wait up to a month or more.

If your order goes missing and you manage to convince Temu to refund you what happens to the duties that you paid?
 
Had the same issue also with GFS. Parcel should have arrived 12th Dec, only received end of Dec. Never had any issues with Buffalo, and strangely neither with Fastway.

Not sure what happened with Buffalo, or if it's still being used, but the amount of complaints around GFS is incredible..

Also, do these couriers no longer use bakkies, or is it just a case of hey you have a car? you're hired!

You would have to request the duties back from the courier company. I'm not sure if anybody has successfully received a refund on duties, if a parcel goes missing.
 
also had issues with gfs , driver called n said delivery on the way . but never arrived. waited for few hours . driver puts his phone off . called gfs . driver says nobody was home . lies !!! . gfs says they will deliver . delivery came after 5 days . second time gfs does samething driver says cannot find the house n called us , lies again !!! . gfs delivered after a week . ridiculous. didn't have this problem with buffalo or fastway .. Haven't ordered from temu again because of gfs fly by nights..
 
We're fortunate, all our orders still delivered by Fastway - no issues
 
I had a terrible experience with GFS Express. Order arrived in JNB 17th Dec, out for delivery since the 20th.

Called them on the 21st, was told my parcel was sitting in their Soweto depot awaiting delivery. Couldn't confirm when it would be delivered.

Have heard nothing since. Can't get through on the phone. Got refunded by Temu but obviously the duties and taxes were not refunded. Temu doesn't care and says I should request a refund from SARS.

Not likely to be using Temu again as they don't take responsibility for their delivery partners and don't let me choose.

Really? So they have gone back to the old delivery days when you can expect a delivery from China in 2 to 3 weeks instead of 3 to 4 months? Usually it was an issue in Joburg customs as I would often have to email the lady there. If I didn't email her after a month of my package sitting in customs, then my package would take even longer.
