Temu starts including VAT and import duties at checkout for South African shoppers

My last 2 orders had no customs/import duty. I like this because now, if I have to return an item, I get all my money back. Normally, you lose the import duties that you pay.

Has raised the price on some items quite a bit. Unless PC fans went through the same issue as other electronics? Cause now I can find them cheaper on Takealot and Amazon
On the odd occasion, Takealot and Amazon can be cheaper because of the import duties we had to pay. Always do your due diligence. :)

If it's there I'm missing it too. They could be charging anything.
Yeh it's not anywhere. On Amazon, you can at least see what the customs total is. So unless you are buying a repeat item, and you know what the prices were before, and what they are now, it's very difficult to know what exactly it is you paying.
