Axxess purchases Joburg-based web hosting company Absolute Hosting

Axxess has acquired Johannesburg-based web hosting company Absolute Hosting as part of its plan to grow its hosting business in South Africa.

The companies did not disclose the value of the transaction. Axxess said Absolute Hosting would continue operating as an independent business after the acquisition.

In my opinion, a good acquisition.

It's a shame it's only absolute hosting and Xneelo that are proper hosting companies in this country...

I am glad to see they will still operate independantly, as long as things dont change at AH I am happy, have had a great experience with AH so far.

Used them for a several years from 2020 onwards. The control panels had a few bugs and changing settings didn’t always work requiring contacting support. That made me unhappy but the support was always so quick that it totally made up for it. TIL the support guy, Jade, is the founder. Well done.

Can’t recall and it doesn’t matter now. Sure things got fixed over the years. We used a VPS and email.

Just found out that Afrihost is now the parent company of Level 7 Wireless as well, through their purchase of Echo SP.

so Axxess was started as a webhosting company , but needed to buy another hosting company .They had +-30 years to get their web hosting right but still couldn't crack it, so they then bought another web hosting company ..... haiboo
