Just noticed that too. At least the minimum order is slightly less than Takealot.

It's understandable with all the surcharges due to the fuel prices. The last Amazon package I received had a fuel surcharge and an air freight surcharge which they forked out for.
 
I see that now. I could have sworn when I checked earlier that some of the items I was interested in still offered free delivery, but I probably didn't read properly. :X3:
 
The free delivery with Amazon.co.za also sucks.

I've had "DPD Laser" - issue fake delivery attempted notices 2-3 times in a row. Funny how the intercom was always working and there were people at home, each time.

I've had this a couple of times as well. Definitely not common issue but has happened when I was definitely here. Don't think was dpd

I use locker delivery, so that there's no excuse.

I had a delivery from RAM on Thursday arrive while i was driving home from work. My brother was home so someone was there to collect. But delivery guy phones saying that there is nobody at home, tell him to hang tight while i call my brother.
My brother goes to have a a look through the window and nobody is there. I call delivery dude back and ask if he is certain he is at the correct address, the house number is big and obvious on the wall next to the gate. He insists he is there, correct house. I'm inclined to believe my brother and ask him to go up and check. Turns out delivery dude had the wrong house about 2 houses down.

Fake delivery attempt is usually what they do, but don't rule out they just went to the wrong address. It is rocket science afterall.

DPD Laser is the worst courier company I have ever delt with.. Had an item being returned to JHB from DBN but my parcel ends up in East London. Then gets returned back to a different person in Durban. Luckily this person was smart enough to read the waybill which had all my details and called me to notify me of the error, then got DPD laser return to me. Had to get a different company to send it to JHB again.

Courier Guy is by far the best thus far.
