Wootvision Monitors from Wootware. Great price, but are they good?

Looking at the pics on the website it doesn't look like it has a mount. I've always had monitors on my desk, so doesn't bother me at the moment, but I agree, would have been nice to have a VESA mount. Will let you know once I get it.

I'll have a look when I get home this evening,, but yeah I don't remember seeing a VESA mount on it when I put it together.

Only downside I see is no Vesa mount. Is there a way to mount these to a wall or pole? I don't like monitors taking up space on my desk.

And how is VA with gaming? I read that IPS is better for gaming, have no experience myself.
It should work on a VESA mount. Mine doesn't look exactly the same as the one they now advertise but it could be just cosmetics. WhatsApp Image 2025-10-15 at 10.03.25_5f5e20cc.jpgWhatsApp Image 2025-10-15 at 10.03.34_90d3457d.jpg

Thanks. I looked at the picture and thought wrong. I see in the specs it says it's Vesa mountable. That's good.

Awesome, I didn't check either and just trusted you looked :)
Glad to hear.

Payment went through, I guess I'll have it in a couple of days and will report back.

This monitor is currently on special. Gave it a try, pretty much the cheapest 24inch 144hz monitor you can find at the moment, however the page didn't mention it has freesync, which is a nice bonus, however it also lists as having the ability to tilt which it doesn't, it is a fixed mounting bracket. The mounting bracket and pole is at a decent height, but flimsy and the screen leans forward a bit. Has nice contrast, colours are nice and vibrant. Fixed the forward leaning by placing a book underneath the base, which is pretty sturdy, borderless frame is a nice touch, the back bezel could be thicker as it looks pretty odd and cheap.

Using it as a backup monitor, so it will do just fine. Overall not bad, just looks a bit and feels on the cheap side. I could do worse for the price.

Started using my 34" 3440x1440p ultra-wide tonight. Loving it so far.

Build quality definitely not super fancy, but nothing I can't live with (for the price). I do like that it has full adjustment capability (up down, tilt forward/backward, rotate around the stand and rotate as you view it too).

The panel seems nice and crisp and evenly lit. Resolution is definitely lower than the Mac's but nothing that bothers me. No dead/stuck pixels from what I have noticed yet. I don't think contrast is that great but once again - I'm buying this for development and office work and not gaming / videos. Definitely not HDR but then again, it didn't say so on the box :)

Had some difficulty getting it going with the DisplayPort but HDMI works fine. I'm not getting the supposedly 180hz refresh-rate - topping out at 100Hz. But that may be a limiation of the HDMI cable or the thunderbolt dock that I'm running it through. I've bought an HDMI 2.1 cable, will test once I get it.

Some folks on the ZAG Facebook group were complaining that the power bricks for the monitors get very hot. Like burn yourself hot. It might be a bad batch though.
saw that as well, could be a bad batch as you've said.

idk about the normal IPS ones but i've had their first gen miniled since launch (around 11 months now) and it's just been amazing.
the power brick gets warm but nowhere near hot / very hot.

only thing that i'd say is cheap is the osd and stand but I've got mine mounted and i haven't touched the osd since the day i got it.

Wootware are also pretty generous with returns so one can test out then return almost scot free.

Bought one of these, just got it hooked up and tested it last night, first impressions not that good.

27Q O240 (WV27QHDOVA-240HZ)

My current monitor is a Dell S2417DG, a 24-inch 1440p 144hz TN panel.
So was looking at an OLED to get better colors.

Advert says VESA 75 mount compatible, they advertise a mount with the typical universal bracket that fits both VESA 75 & 100.
Nice idea except the pocket for the bracket at the back of the panel is too small to fit a universal bracket like that.
The bracket has to be sized just big enough for VESA 75 or it will not fit.
Or perhaps they expect you to remove the back plastic shielding? I have no idea manual has no info on that.

Included stand is ok as stands go. Nothing special but not the worst.

SDR color setup out the box is not good, and there are so many different settings for color adjustment.
You have no idea where to start since neither OSD nor the included instruction manual offers any guidance.

Speaking off, it has about the most useless instruction manual ever.
For example, OSD has option called ALLM mode, no explanation in OSD, just an on or off toggle.
Go to manual and it literally just has a single line that says ALLM is to turn ALLM mode on or off.
Had to google it to find out what that mode is for.

Questions like:

What does ECO mode mean? No idea, not in the manual.
What does game mode mean? No idea, not in the manual.
OSD switch pressed to left shows a OSD screen that makes it appear like you can switch between normal mode and eco mode as like a quick switch, but no idea how to switch over, stuck in normal mode. Not sure if this quick switch is disabled when in HDR mode. Would have helped if it had a useful manual that explained these things.

Has some "AI" features I still need to figure out what they do.

How do I turn the monitor off? Not in the manual.
I assumed it is holding the OSD button in, because panel goes dark when I do that, however after leaving the room for a few minutes and coming back, the panel was busy cycling RWBG colors. Which again is not mentioned at all in manual.
After google search, realized this is a pixel refresh cycle. Which according to google is supposed to only last between 5-10 minutes. Not familiar with OLED panels, so this is new to me.

After 30mins I just unplugged that damned thing. Not sure how long it would have kept going, or why it was such a long cycle.
Since again apparently excessive pixel refresh cycles damage OLED panels so, not good.
Again, something that a good instruction manual should explain.

It has other anti-burn in features, like pixel shift and detection of static images, which it darkens the brightness around.

Windows only detects the panel as "LED Display", kind of odd as even cheap bargain bin panels are detected with their brand and or model number by windows.

Good points it has is the HDR looks really good, well looks good to me, having come from a TN panel.
Deep blacks are really nice in games and movies. But that is inherent to the panel type. So can't give it bonus points for that.
Monitor is really bright, a little confused as most reviews on OLED displays mention brightness as an issue.
But in my use case, this display is no less bright than my TN panel, out of the box brightness was blinding.
Turned it down to 55% brightness. Windows reports peak brightness as 500 nits.
Not used to OLED panel so not sure if what windows reports is accurate. But it seems really bright.

Wootware offers a bundle purchase with this arm, and the bracket size due to being able to fit both vesa 75 and 100, would literally not fit in the pocket at the back.

Unless you are comfortable figuring things out yourself, I do not recommend, rather buy typical named brands like ASUS, MSI & Dell / Alienware.

Still very concerned about the pixel refresh cycle that does not stop or appears like it won't stop when panel is "turned off"

As I planned to use this monitor only when gaming or watching HDR content, rest of the time it wanted to keep it off and use my TN display as main. Web browsing etc.

Monitor was returned, RMA staff determined screen saver setting caused the color flashing to start +-5 mins after display is turned off.

They said they don't know if this is normal behavior or not. Imo it is not normal for a display when turned off to start flashing colors at max brightness for 45mins without any sign of stopping. Particularly for an OLED.

So if you plan to buy this monitor, turning screen saver off in OSD stops that apparently.
Not sure how Wootware / Wootvision handles firmware issues of their rebranded displays.
Who knows if they will be updating the firmware or providing a firmware update to resolve it or similar firmware issues.

This whole process has sucked.

In any case, decided to go with main stream brand OLED instead, original order was placed May 02.
New monitor should be delivered by May 28.
4 Weeks after original order date.

Not left me with a good impression on the Wootvision (re)brand of monitors.

I personally have been eyeing this particular screen for a while but i saw there Alienware model coming out soon with similar specs AND FIRMWARE UPDATES!

I see how most OLED screen get FW updates to fix issues and i was always curious if these rebranded screens ever did receive such support, I guess now we know.

I guess this is one of those cases where its always better to fork out more for a good brand.

Hope you come right

Did you ever take a look what the panel type/manufacturer was?
There's normally a hardware ID in the Windows device manager that you can use to check that.

Did not look at device manager. Windows display settings only detected it as LED Display.
Since issue happened right away, spent most the time trying to figure out the cause.
